Who am I?
Hi, I'm Jonathan Valladares. I'm an Applied Mathematics student with a minor in Data Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating in 2026. With a passion for technology and problem-solving, I have hands-on experience in data analysis, engineering design, and programming.
From interning at FI Consulting to leading engineering projects, I thrive on challenges and enjoy collaborating on innovative solutions. My technical skills span programming in Python, Java, and C++, as well as CAD modeling with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

HTML
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language used to create documents for web browsers. I gained extensive experience in HTML through building this website, as well as in the University of Maryland’s Object-Oriented Programming course.
CSS
CSS Stands for "Cascading Style Sheet". CSS is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language such as HTML. Refined in my Object-Oriented Programming course, and showcased heavily in this very site!
JavaScript
JavaScript (often abbreviated as JS) is an object-oriented programming language, primarily known for its role as the scripting language for web pages. It’s a fascinating language to learn, as it adds interactivity, dynamic updates, and engaging functionality to websites, creating a more immersive user experience.
Java
One of my favorite languages, Java is a high-level, object-oriented programming language that is class-based, designed to minimize implementation dependencies. Extensive use in my Object-Oriented Programming course.
Python
Another one of my favorite languages, Python is an interpreted, object-oriented, high-level language with dynamic semantics. Python has some of the easiest to learn syntax, with very good readability. Self-taught, used in my internship at FI Consulting.
C
C is a general-purpose, procedural computer programming language supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope, recursion, and has a static type system. Used extensively in my Intro to C Programming course.
